Orienthal

Attn: Staff members Diane and Juan

I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to reach the outside community. My wife loved my article. I want to revolutionize the prison system. I want free people to think differently of us. There are some diamonds and gems in prison, there are older guys (OG’s) that can heal the outside community if given a chance. I want to change the narrative and game. Most of us have retired from a life of crime. Some of us want to be crime fighters. You need to be in someone’s shoes to make a real breakthrough. Someone has to feel your pain. They need to hear our side of the story in order to heal. It takes courage to have compassion and wisdom to invoke change. Change brings about progress and usurps negativity. I want to start non-profits that do that. There are too many freedom fighters in here without a voice. I am proud to be a part of Humans of San Quentin and not judged by my prison number. I hope to come back to lend a hand and a voice. I wish everyone well. I am glad to be a part of the positive San Quentin experience.

God Bless,

Orienthal
