The future is a network of roads,
Each paved by the thoughts you create.
Art & Sleep
As I sleep, visions flow to meโ
People, places, and symbols: fragments of A, B, C, and D.
I drift into the unfamiliar, a feeling not yet named.
Perhaps youโve woken in one yourself, your way.
A universe within a soul, all beneath one star.
I wake, reset yet heavy,
Side by side with peace, gifted and fleeting.
The perfect mystery reveals ourselvesโtruth and fantasy intertwined.
In slumber, our lives slip beyond our grasp,
REM takes the reins, guiding us toward unspoken โA.โ
Each night is a mirror to the day,
A tally not of visions, but of motivations unseen.
Do we mine the moments, the frames,
Placing the sweep of time to reveal lifeโs broader roads?
Climb the tall mountains, brave the rushing rivers,
Relive timeless dreams through doors newly opened.
Enlightenment cloaked in fairy whispers,
Kindness woven into the fabric of our reawakening.
Manifestations of Life
The brain, a sponge,
Absorbing all from youth to now.
What do you feed it?
The choice is always yoursโ
Its fruit is sweet, or sharp with thorns.
The future is a network of roads,
Each paved by the thoughts you create.
Life becomes the work and effort
Of those who struggle and rise.
When the chips are down,
You carry within you the tools to endure and win.
Reflections of Memory
September 16, 1963.
Four young Black girls lost to hateโ
A cowardโs dynamite collapsing walls,
And with them, innocence and laughter.
A motherโs weeping echoes through time.
She chants through glass and ruin:
โThis is for her, not for me.
She is the baby, but where is she?โ
Through ash and pain,
A joy flickers,
A hope rises.
Life and Fate
You get what you give,
You reap what you sow.
Paddling forward, yet downstream you go.
Each action sets motion,
Every decision shapes the wake.
Are we bound by destiny,
Or by the choices we make?
Leaders say, โYou are what you eat.โ
So I train, I learn, I grow.
Planting seeds, hoping they flourish.
Will the future bend to what I lead?
Through violence and sorrow, I weep,
But God wills me to growโ
To rise beyond judgmentโs weight
And find my way.
