Her love and support have given me the strength to carry on through some of the most difficult times in my life.
I call her my auntie, but she has been more like a mother to me. I was blessed to have my mom, who is now with God, and equally blessed to have a second mother in Aunt Hilda. I don’t have a picture of her, if I did, you’d see in her smile just how kind, caring, and loving she is. Her love and support have given me the strength to carry on through some of the most difficult times in my life. As I continue on my journey of rehabilitation and self-discovery, I pray that if I’m ever lucky enough to find a life partner, she will have all the qualities that she has. Thank you, Auntie, for all you do, not just for me, but for everyone blessed to have you in their lives. Happy Mother’s Day.
