Family has always been important to me.

I grew up in West LA, specifically in the Crenshaw District. The day I married my first wife, Audrea, was one of my cherished memories. She was beautiful, fine, and cute—my high school sweetheart.

We got married in my mother’s backyard with about 40 family members and loved ones in attendance. I was a handsome, confident young man—a player who was known for cracking the code with all the beautiful women. But Audrea and I fell in love, and when it came time for us to marry, we were inseparable.

I still remember the day vividly. I smoked a chronic blunt with someone who was supposed to be my homeboy, but at the altar, we exchanged our vows while gazing into each other’s eyes. I told her I was investing my love, my time, and my money into her. She smiled and then we shared a French kiss. I was just 18, married to my baby mama. Our love was full of passion, and the honeymoon at the Radisson Hotel was unforgettable. I wish we had filmed the wedding, but I have the pictures to remind me of that special day. Family has always been important to me.
