Human beings have always had powerful imaginations, and I believe this is a gift from God. Imagination leads to innovation—it’s how medicines were created and how blueprints for automobiles and airplanes were conceived. Imagination is wonderful, useful, and enjoyable. I love allowing my mind to open up and think freely. Since I was a child, I’ve often imagined what life would be like if I had the powers of my favorite superhero. One of my closest friends likes to imagine that somewhere in the vast universe, God has a planet devoted entirely to dinosaurs. Our imaginations can be fun.
I want you to know that my physical appearance doesn’t define who I am, it’s the heart that matters. Yes, I feel lonely, but I am devoted to the Lord. I only ask for companionship, and sometimes I wonder where God is leading me. I trust that all my days were written before one of them came to be. We don’t always know how God will use the circumstances of our lives, but we can rest in the knowledge that He knows everything about us and is guiding us, even when His sovereign hand seems hidden. He is never absent.
