Art is something Iโve found a passion for while doing my time. I didnโt have a lot of people helping me when I first came down so I had to figure out a way to make some money just to get something to eat. The food we get isnโt really filling so I started learning how to make cards. Then I began practicing drawing people. I taught myself. Itโs funny I remember I used to draw my sister Kristina just to practice. I brought it out to the yard and asked one of my friends if it looked like the picture. He lied and said yeah. Thinking back on it, being honest, it really didnโt ๐ but I kept at it and thankfully I didnโt give up. Now Iโm pretty good at it. I did these two portraits back in 2021. I actually love capturing someoneโs picture with my pencil and showing how I see them through my eyes as an artist. Itโs a way for me to do something productive when Iโm stressed or feeling negative. I throw on some music and get to work. Itโs also a way I can support myself and stay out of trouble while in prison. Itโs an honest way to live and it brings me a lot of joy too. If anyone is interested in some art you can contact me and Iโll draw and send your portrait to you.

Hey Freddy
I just read your comments about doing portraits and / or art. I am currently working on a photobook to be published Spring2026..It contains photos from San Quentin 1975. My friend, Scottish singer Frankie Miller played for the prisoners back then. The journalist who attended gave me access to his review and over 100 photos to use. The newhaven website is not mine but you can read about me in it. I can send a photo for you and much more info on my projects . Some original Frankie Miller artwork would be sensational for my book !!! Kindest Regards
Davy
