I’ve never been rich or had some of the things others have, but I have understanding and respect for those who stay true to themselves instead of pretending to be someone they’re not. Believing in the right things starts with believing in yourself.
I grew up in and out of prison, and becoming the man I am today has truly changed my life. Being raised in the system shaped me a lot—especially mentally. Not all grown minds think alike; if they did, people would be doing the right things to improve themselves.
I remember my grandparents telling me to slow down and take the time to figure out what I want in life. But I guess life hasn’t given me that chance, or I would have already jumped in headfirst.
One thing I know for sure is that people find what they’re looking for if they search hard enough. Yet sometimes, things come to you, and searching might not be necessary. Just ask God, and He will provide everything you need.
