Every three months, our amazing dogs head out into the world for a month with their co-raisers. This is done to introduce and socialize them to things we can’t provide here in San Quentin—things like being around children, riding on planes and cars, and exposure to new sights, sounds, and scents.
While our puppies are out for the month, we receive another canine companion’s puppy raisers’ puppy to train in their absence. These visiting pups go through what we affectionately call “San Quentin Boot Camp.” 🐶💪 We’ve had incredible success with these dogs, and it’s an honor to care for these precious companions. Grateful for every moment with these amazing pups! 🐕💛
