I am so very tired of being locked up.

As of now, Iโ€™ve been locked up 42 long years, and when my sentence day came on January 12th of this year, I would not let myself feel down and out. It is a day of my life I will never forget. It would be very hard for people to understand.

I am very happy to be a part of the Humans of San Quentin family community. That means so much to me. Being locked up this long still makes me homesick. I still have a family that loves and cares about me. I had to have a very long talk with them, and they are trying to help me get out. Last year, right at the start, things were moving, then just stopped. Just this past week, I let them know that we have to get things back moving. This is something that I have to stand on so that
