Post Bar Mitzvah
My life has always had aspects of Majick and mystery ever since I was a baby and would not talk. Even at five, I still would not talk, so they started to think I was stupid. But my mom would say I was always talking to her in her head. That is the reason she gave for beating me up all the time, because she said everything I was putting in her head was bad, but she also admitted it was true.
Since 2004, when I first came into contact with Kabbalistic teachings and meditating on the Hebrew Alphabets, I have experimented with different Kabbalistic practices in one form or another.
One of those practices is waking in the middle of the night to practice what is called TIKKUN CHATZOT. It entails placing your head between your knees and reciting lamentations, hymns and prayers. The main purpose is to repair and restore the G-dhead to unity, benefitting both the upper worlds and those who study Torah in the lower worlds. Tikkun means to repair or restore.
Leah and Rachel are two wives of the patriarch Jacob. Leah is buried in the cave of Machpela, while Rachel is buried off a road somewhere near Jerusalem, meaning Rachel is still here with us in this world while Leah is in another world called Binah. They represent the two forms of the Shechinah, which Christianity calls the holy spirit.
A bat or bar mitzvah represents a twelve year old girl or thirteen year old boy’s coming of age, and confirms that they will continue in their parents’ practice of Judaism. The Kabbalists assert there is also a mystical part of this ritual celebration. They say this is when the boy or girl receives the third soul from G-d.
Since my bar mitzvah I have been waking at midnight after experiencing some very insightful dreams. I believe this is because of receiving my third soul, the Neshamah. I now feel very safe and ready for what must come next. I feel as if I am closer to returning to my original self, before all the brainwashing and lies.
