Our soul light burns brightest during our darkest trying times. I have been a prisoner since the age of 17.
I am now 34, which means half of my life has been spent inside. I learned to cope with my time through journaling and poetry. It is not easy to share my art, but I gained the courage to do so and hope that others can connect with my words.

As iron sharpens iron so trials and battles bring out the best within us
Pushing through adversity builds our greatest strength
Our self knowledge and understanding
What seems like setbacks and failures are my only set ups
For our best life to live

Still Strength
In my stillness I console deep soul wounds
Trusting the unknown as I pass turmoiled storms
Gaining understanding with each step
Feelings of unlove and isolation surround me
Pains of neglect and abandonment hold on to me
Struggling with the past as I fight with today
Wishing for the spark of peace to reignite
Cosmic Love
Eternal love sits among the stars
Collecting cosmic dust as we wander around
From ignorant relation to temporary connection
Till destiny shines bright on our constellation
Conversation reveals matching energetic vibration
Conscious attraction brings infinite satisfaction
Euphoric adoration like stars across the sky
