I had just lost my oldest brother, and my girlfriend and I were at odds.
Living in Chicago, Illinois, it’s hard to raise a child if you have no job. Back in May 2011, I brought a child into this world. At the time, I was attending college, doing concerts, and promoting my music. On top of that, I had just lost my oldest brother, and my girlfriend and I were at odds. Leading up to my incarceration, I saw what I assumed was an opportunity to make a lot of money, so I took it and ended up being punished for that act. Which is how I ended up here, currently serving a 30 year sentence in Menard Correctional Center.
