I still have love for my ex wife, and I had to get down on paper how I felt about her. What inspired me to write is my passion for writing and reading urban books.

My ex wife Audra influenced me to get down the journey of my life. Even though my first book, Blue Star, is fiction, there were a few times when I gave a taste of my amazing lifestyle. That is why she is one of the main characters in my book, but I made up her character background in this story for the reader to enjoy the book I passionately wrote. My inspiration and motivation to keep on writing came from taking Mount Tamalpais College courses while in San Quentin.

I learned the art of how to read and write with my authentic and original style, and I created this legendary book called Blue Star. This book is a smart investment for the reader because it will give my audience ideas of their own to accumulate in their real world. I want my readers to gain strength and be encouraged to change their lives for the better. This book is a solution of how to survive the struggle in the ghetto while you are living among loved ones and friends. I was also inspired by movies like Poetic Justice, Menace II Society, Boyz n the Hood, Juice, Love Jones, Jasonโ€™s Lyric, Dead Presidents, ATL, and Baby Boy.

Along with ghetto love movies, I was influenced by rap and R and B artists like 2Pac, Jodeci, Biggie Smalls, R Kelly, Kehlani, Jay Z, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ashanti, and the list goes on. Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles, I learned how to survive by hustling, and on the side I had a couple of love relationships to get me through obstacles like gang members, smoking weed, drinking, and jail or prison. Everybody loves a good love relationship that they can relate to. My readers are going to love my story and crave part two.
