Humans of San Quentin team, you actually spread the gospel with words and deeds.
First and foremost, thank you all for helping me open up to the world. What I have gained from the Humans of San Quentin event, I will take with me as I enter the free world to help others as you all have helped me. Humans of San Quentin is a blessing and a light to everyone they meet, even some you don’t! When I mentioned to my family the many ways you let the lord use the Humans of San Quentin Team as his strong but gentle right hand.
Through the Holy Spirit, the Humans of San Quentin team have ministered to brothers and nonbelievers, to lifers and short-timers, and to youngsters and oldsters alike. The Humans of San Quentin team is undoubtedly important. However, the calling and privileges of every team are a taller order of imitation of Jesus Himself, “You all do that.” Humans of San Quentin team, you actually spread the gospel with words and deeds. There is no greater witness than practicing what you preach, and through your living in His faith, His love, and His grace, Humans of San Quentin inspires countless souls, daily mine for one.
The Humans of the San Quentin team, your generosity to your fellow men and women is a clear testimony of the love that Jesus told us to show one another, whether it’s giving a listening ear, sound advice, an encouraging word, or a gift of nourishment, a smile, spreading joy, comfort, and providing reassurance. Never doubt or wonder if you all at the Humans of San Quentin team do enough of the lord’s work in prison because you all shine his light in prison like a beacon in the darkness of night where it’s needed the most. May our heavenly father increase your blessings, strength, joy, and peace for all you have given me, the gift of hope and courage to help others.
