Ronald's Commissary Kitchen: Rice Party & Fish Patties

Ronald | State Correctional Institution Fayette
Some folks cook for fun, some for survival, I do both. My Mom (may she rest in peace) taught me how to throw down in the kitchen, and I’ve been feeding people ever since. Holidays, Super Bowl, that’s banana pudding and pizza bagels. But today, we’re talking about my Rice Party and Fish Patties meals made with what I got, no oven, no stovetop, just creativity and a stinger. If I was home, I'd toss the rice on a sheet pan and bake it, but busted means making it work with what I got. Improvisation is the name of the game when what's served ain't cutting it. My love for food, my Mom, and my appreciation for good meals keep me inspired. Stay hungry, stay creative.
