Jasper's Finger Lickin' Alé My God! Good Bars
I know I have a few recipes, but here is one more to share. Something I made a few times and wanted to hook you up with, some more tasty treats to share our creative side. Crush, stir, smash! It's all we working with. Once you pick it up, you can't put it down. No napkin needed.
Ingredients
- 1 box Rice Krispies Treats, original
- 2 packs Newtons Soft & Chewy Strawberry cookies.
- 1 pack Keebler Coconut Dreams cookies
- 1 pack Oreo Toffee Crunch cookies
- 5 large Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme bars
- Wax paper two large sheets
Instructions
- Unwrap all the Rice Krispies Treats and crumble them into smaller chunks. Break the strawberry bars in half. Break or crumble the coconut cookies. Place everything into a large bowl or a bag.
- Mix or smash all the ingredients into an equally balanced mixture. Place in the microwave for two minutes and let it sit.
- De-cream all the Oreos and place the cream in a small bowl. Break apart the chocolate bars and add the pieces to the same bowl. Microwave for one minute and stir until smooth.
- Crush the Oreo cookies into a powder like mixture. Spread half of it across a large sheet of wax paper.
- Drizzle half of the chocolate cream mixture over the Oreo powder, then top with the Rice Krispies Treat mixture and press it into an even layer.
- Drizzle the remaining chocolate cream mixture over the top and cover with the rest of the Oreo dust.
- Place another large sheet of wax paper over it all and press evenly from the center out. Fold the edges to form a solid square or rectangle.
- Let it sit for fifteen or so minutes to cool.
- Remove the top sheet of wax paper. Use a cup to cut out the shape, or use something flat to cut out the shape of the bars, and enjoy.
Notes
- Jasper calls these F.L.A.G. bars for short.
- Editor's note: Jasper mixes in a bag and cuts the bars with a state issued cup. At home, a large bowl and a knife or biscuit cutter work just as well.
- The chocolate and cream mixture sets fast. Drizzle it as soon as it comes out of the microwave.
- Any creme filled sandwich cookie works in place of the Oreo Toffee Crunch. The flavor of the cookie carries through the whole bar.
