Haiku

The weather is nice
I can see them playing nice
It’s too hot now

Rondeau

Everyone knows better now
I just see that it is golden
Formulated from my crystal
The weather will tell you some

Notoriety is opaque

Heaps and piles of it all sublime
The weather just gets sore better
Winter would not put a stamp there
I can do all that I can now
All I can do is wait it out

And hope that something comes better
Everyone knows better now

I am a published author currently in jail at Adams County, Pennsylvania. My books are about King Arthur and Arthurian legend.

These stories arrive by mail.

Every month, a physical envelope arrives at your door, postmarked from San Quentin Village, California. Inside, you will find original artwork, writing, and recipes from real contributors, along with a personal letter from me, Diane Kahn, founder of Humans of San Quentin, about the people who made them. You read it. You keep it.

Every piece comes from someone serving a sentence. Every piece reminds you they are so much more than that.
