I am proud of the person Iโ€™ve become, and Iโ€™m committed to continuing my growth.

True change requires deep commitment, and true growth demands even more. Since my incarceration in 2011, I have worked hard to grow, both in my thinking and communication skills. During this time, I earned my high school diploma, completed various certifications, and am now on the verge of earning a certificate in business management.

Iโ€™ve come a long way, gaining knowledge from years of learning alongside others who inspire and challenge me. Without a grip on life, life will grip you. Asking questions often brings more wisdom than simply having answers. The past is history, the future is a mystery, and this moment is a giftโ€”this is why itโ€™s called the present. No one can take control of your path unless you let them. Coming together marks the beginning; staying together gives purpose, and working together leads to success.

No matter how much youโ€™ve achieved, there is always more to strive for. I believe itโ€™s better to be hated for who you truly are than to be loved for who youโ€™re not. To become the person you want to be, you must focus on your strengths and what excites you. Define yourselfโ€”donโ€™t let the world dictate who you are. I am proud of the person Iโ€™ve become, and Iโ€™m committed to continuing my growth. My goal is to take the success Iโ€™ve built here and bring it to the outside world to make a positive impact.
