When I put this uniform on I’m not a prisoner anymore – I’m an athlete.

I’m daydreaming about freedom before game time, the American flag is a symbol of that.

I wanted to play in the major leagues so I’m living my dream today, wearing my uniform which was donated by the Oakland A’s players. I’m doing what I love and have a deep passion for, playing baseball, which I have done all my life.

I was a relief pitcher and a starter for the San Quentin A’s and now I play on the Hardtimers softball team. When I put this uniform on I’m not a prisoner anymore – I’m an athlete. I never want to give it up no matter how old I get or how many Twinkies I eat, which btw I’m cutting back on for my health, I’m stepping it up on my exercise and trying to lose 30 pounds.
