I have seen two people who were growing together
Begin to grow separately
In and of life
And I asked myself
How could this be?
This just didn’t make sense to me
Yet
Upon further reflection, I found
That two people can grow
Stronger or weaker
Together or apart
And still influence each other’s growth
In and of life
They can even be growing
In the same direction
And yet
Be growing in different ways
And given the right circumstances
They can begin
To grow together again
In and of life
The experiences they gain
While growing stronger or weaker
Together or separately
Can shape them
To grow even stronger
Together or apart
In and of life
In the end
