Dear Humans Of San Quentin,ย
I arrived at San Quentin a little over a month ago and heard about your program from my cellmate, who is already a regular participant. From that moment, I wanted to be a part of this program simply based on how highly he spoke of it. He has had nothing but great things to say about your organization. I had the privilege of reading some of the previous works he submitted, and to be honest, I was blown away. Two things happened at that moment: first, I realized I needed to step up my writing game to match the skill and precision of my cellmate. Over the years, Iโve been fortunate to participate in excellent writing classes and work with facilitators who have helped me hone my writing style, find my voice, and truly express myself. I would never claim to be a renowned writer, but I donโt think Iโm too bad either. I have written a few poems about my life and am currently discussing with Ross the possibility of submitting them. Thank you for your time.
