โ€œI have learned to appreciate the small things and family traditions that keep families together, especially the patriarchs who instill these traditions and morals.โ€

What I miss most is spending time with family, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas, when my family would come together and eat. After the passing of my grandparents, all of my family members do their own thing during the holidays. As I have been incarcerated for many years, I have learned, among other things, to appreciate the small things and family traditions that keep families together, especially the patriarchs who instill these traditions and morals that bring families together. When the laws that govern us change to the point where I am allowed the blessing to once again join my family in society as a free man, I will cherish every moment. Should I have the blessing of starting a family, I will make sure that I practice the same morals and family traditions that the patriarchs of my family practiced and instilled in us.
