Sweet and Spicy Bagel Bites
I made this when options were small and flavor was everything. It’s messy, loud, and exactly the kind of comfort food that says: we make magic out of what we got. Eat up and leave no crumbs!
Ingredients
- 1 packet hot and spicy ramen soup seasoning
- 4 tbsp honey
- 4 scoops jalapeño “Cety Cow” cheese
- 1 pouch chicken breast
- 4 squeezes BBQ sauce
- 1 scoop dehydrated onions
- 4 whole raisin bagels, sliced in half
- 1 hot or sweet-and-salty pickle
Instructions
- Bring large pot to a boil
- In a separate bowl, dump the pouch of chicken breast. Add the ramen seasoning, honey, bacon bits, dehydrated onions, BBQ sauce, cheese, and sugar cubes. Stir it up, baby, whip it, whip it real good.
- Spoon the mixed meat into an empty chip bag. Add 1/4 cup water, tie the bag closed, and carefully lower the bag into the boiling water. Let it cook for about 10 minutes. Use tongs or a sturdy utensil.
- While it cooks, slice the bagels in half and cut the pickle into halves for each bagel.
- Remove the bag from the pot, open it, dump the meat mix into a bowl, and stir to combine.
- Spread the meat mixture onto the bagel halves on top of the pickle slices. Add two pickle slices on top for crunch and tang.
- Serve hot. Promise: this is one magical meal your mouth will be thankful for.
Notes
This recipe is about creativity, not perfection, use what you’ve got. If you have no pouch chicken, substitute another protein or canned meat. Honey + hot ramen seasoning = that sweet-spicy hit that brings the whole thing together. Leave no crumbs…share and enjoy.
