If these words land with you, share them. Tell someone that people inside are living, dreaming, and changing.

I am a proud transwoman who is happy to be alive. Life is short and I choose to live loud, honest, and full of grace. I used to hide behind a mask that shaded my cheeks and hid my eyes. Now I wake up each day thankful to speak my truth and to share what I carry inside: prayers, poems, and the little sparks of joy that keep me going. My prayers are simple and fierce. I ask to be made whole and to be a living transformed person, blessed with strength, beauty, and truth.

I write from a small room with big dreams. I write about being rescued by an angel named Pont, about the times I almost let go, and about how faith, stubbornness, and love pulled me back. I write about learning to own my voice, to claim the gift of who I am, and to live with conscious, expressive style. I am Da’Shae, the one who slays, and I carry my grandmother’s wisdom in my bones.

I also cook, laugh, and find joy in silly little things. I make magic with humble ingredients and call it Cell Soul Food. My Sweet and Spicy Bagel Bites are a reminder that creativity feeds the soul even when options are small. I stir, I whip, I share, and when we eat together we remember that community keeps us alive.

This is a letter to anyone who feels unseen: you are not alone. If you carry a secret grief, a quiet hope, or a stubborn spark that won’t die, feed it. Speak to it. Plant that tree. Tend to it daily. Let your life be loud with the kind of love that heals. Give yourself the mercy you needed when you were young and afraid.

If these words land with you, share them. Tell someone that people inside are living, dreaming, and changing. Amplify our small voices so that the world remembers our humanity. Support organizations that bring art, education, and connection across barriers. Listen when a person tells you they are transforming. Believe them. Walk with them.

Thank you for listening to my prayer and my small poems. Thank you for reading about my kitchen experiments and my longings. Pray for one another, give light where you can, and never forget that life is a brief, beautiful thing to be celebrated.

With love and gratitude.
