This is my comedian friend, Durr. He’s always telling jokes and I wonder how he keeps smiling after spending more than 30 years in prison.
Most people in prison, whatever they’ve done to get here, stealing, gang banging, it was all based on a lie that they were telling themself or a lifestyle that they grew up believing in. Now, after spending years in prison, finding out who I really am, and being accountable, I can see my future clearly and understand why he can smile and tell jokes.
