He really spoke to me in a clear voice and said, “Eddie, I have a job for you to do. Don’t worry about anything.” That put a smile on my face.
I became a man of God at the age of 23, but it didn’t happen overnight. As a young man, I experienced violence that would break most men. During that time, I was sitting in my cell, getting to know Jesus. I was fighting a life sentence, so I was praying, asking God to save my life from this evil. To my surprise, He really spoke to me in a clear voice and said, “Eddie, I have a job for you to do. Don’t worry about anything.” That put a smile on my face.
The next day, I went to court, and they threw out my case. After that, I started sharing the Word with anyone who would listen. Now, when I speak the Word of God, I feel His presence all around me, filling me up, giving me the words to speak, what to speak, and when to speak. When I follow God and am obedient to Him, the Holy Spirit fills the room. That’s how I know I followed the voice that spoke to me that afternoon.
I am a minister of God, and everything I do is for Him. I plan to have a church of my own in the near future.
