My mother, Sally, always told me she loved me, and that memory has been a guiding light in my darkest moments. Her words from when I was just six years old have stayed with me, inspiring me to push forward and honor her love through my actions.

What Have I Learned About Myself in Prison?

In prison, Iโ€™ve learned to depend on myself and discovered my passions for designing business logos, accounting, and building organizations. Iโ€™ve embraced self-improvement through education, becoming an avid reader and engaging with platforms like LearnLevel.org and GTL’s Enovo app. Programs like the Transition Pre-Release Program helped me grow, and Iโ€™ve realized the value of accepting guidance and finding blessings in challenges.

My mother, Sally, always told me she loved me, and that memory has been a guiding light in my darkest moments. Her words from when I was just six years old have stayed with me, inspiring me to push forward and honor her love through my actions. Exploring my ancestry, including connections to congress members on my motherโ€™s side, has deepened my sense of identity. I also dream of creating a nonprofit and business empire, starting with a sustainable food truck serving innovative pizza, smoothies, and healthy drinks in San Francisco.

Looking ahead, I hope to build meaningful relationships and find a partner who shares my vision of love and growth. Paroling in 2026, I aim to use the next four years to turn my ideas into reality and create a legacy of success and impact.
