But I will still be made
to stand,
’cause I am who I am.
I came into the world
with a pure heart,
with a desire to do good
against evil from the start.
I was excited to grow up
and become a man,
because in my young mind,
I thought, When I’m grown,
the war against evil will begin.
But as a child, I could not see,
nor could I understand,
that the wicked had already initiated
war on my mind, as planned.
So growing up,
my mind was poisoned
by the ways of man.
And being from a broken home,
I did the best I can
especially without a father
to give guidance
and a helping hand.
Plus, my mom raised me
under the vice
of her corrupt induction.
So my love for my mom blinded me
to the error in which she functioned.
Yet in my mind, I believed
I would be equipped
to fight evil
not knowing my judgment
was impaired by a
foundation of evil.
But I will still be made
to stand,
’cause I am who I am.
Therefore, I will live
according
to what was poured into me
now filled and overflowing.
